Your WorkSource Center has access to the largest pool of workers in the state, and nation wide. Matching workers to jobs has traditionally been the most-used service to employers that we provide. Let us help you with the hiring process.
Do It Yourself! Sign up at go2worksource.biz to post all your job announcements, and to search online resumes for candidates. This service is supported by the taxes you pay. There is no additional fee for job announcement posting, or for access to the resume bank.
Contact the Business Services Liaison at your local WorkSource Center. He or she can help you with many services, including the most common -- job posting and recruitment.
Ask about assistance with writing your job descriptions; specifiy the skill set you are seeking; get help with setting competitivie salary levels; and inquire about pre-screening of applicants, so that you only spend your valuable time interviewing those that are qualified.
We have rooms for you to conduct your interviews on our site. We can help you organize a mini job fair, and conduct mass recruitment, for those times when you're business is growing, or when you are doing seasonal hiring.
As you know, there are many details that must be considered when making a hiring decision. If you fail to pay attention to laws and regulations, you put yourself at risk. Look here, too, for information about employment laws.
Our Business Services Liaisons, and links from this website, can help you to understand and navigate the intricacies of these details. We have the forms you need; we have the posters you need; and we can answer your questions about how best to hire and employ your workers.
If you are willing to help train a worker, who doesn't yet have all the skills needed to be successful in the job market, there are significant pay-backs to you... potentially thousands of dollars in tax credits, and the ability to develop a long-term employee with the skills, standards, and work ethic that you instill in them!
Get information about these tax credits here, and contact your Business Services Liaison for help in making it happen.
You'd be surprised how many of these new workers turn out being superior employees. You may have some already working for you who qualify!
